Become a Friend of Turtle S.H.E.L.L. Tortue

There are many ways you can help turtles through Turtle S.H.E.L.L. Tortue. 

By becoming a Friend of Turtle S.H.E.L.L. Tortue or a sponsor, you will be contributing to the rescue of turtles and the maintenance of one of our most important projects - our Turtle Rehabilitation Centre. The SHELL (as we refer to the centre) is a place of medical treatment, refuge, rest and above all - TLC (Turtle Love & Care).

In addition to our Rehabilitation Centre, we have installed 250 highway turtle crossing signs. This has caused an increase in  public awareness (through education) further resulting in more media coverage.  Further, the reported cases of rescued turtles greatly increased in 2003. This also resulted in more turtles being brought to turtle care facilities for treatment, rehabilitation and release back to their proper geographical habitats.

The SHELL is currently maintained by several dedicated volunteers, who spend their time a few nights a week or on weekends, maintaining the Centre by doing activities such as cleaning aquariums, feeding the turtles and providing them with the medical attention and care they need to survive. Your contribution to this project will ensure that all these needs are provided - for the turtles!
